Tara was born and raised in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. After graduating from East Carolina University, she returned home to Alexandria, Virginia, but couldn’t quite shake her love for the Carolinas. That pull eventually led her and her husband to Charleston, South Carolina, where she’s spent the past eight years soaking up year-round beach days and the city’s exceptional culinary scene. Charleston has also fueled her passion for planning trips and curating unforgettable visits and date nights for friends and family. Now, with two young kids added to the mix, she can often be found chasing them along the shores of Sullivan’s Island or escaping downtown to sample the latest Michelin-starred menus.

WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE?
My passion for travel began with a post-college trip to Europe through a travel company. As the only American in the group, I joined 20 strangers on a journey through 10 countries and 17 cities, an experience that proved to be truly life changing. That trip opened my eyes to the transformative power of travel and the meaningful role it plays in enriching our lives. Since then, my husband and I have explored destinations including London, Ireland, Croatia, Alaska, and the Caribbean. Now having added 2 young children to the mix, I am eager to help other families feel confident in exploring the world with kids in toe. I am so inspired to help others plan memorable travel experiences of their own.
WHICH DESTINATIONS ARE YOU PERSONALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO VISITING AND WHY?
As an avid lover of food and wine, I’m especially looking forward to visiting Italy’s Amalfi Coast—a destination that perfectly blends breathtaking coastal beauty with a rich culinary heritage. From fresh seafood and handmade pasta to local wines and limoncello enjoyed cliffside, the region promises a feast for all the senses
