Kersten is passionate about travel and believes everyone should be able to explore the world!

Kersten is born, raised and still resides in Chicago, IL with her husband and spirited lab, Madison. After graduating from Purdue University, she landed a role with a medical device company that gave her the opportunity to travel internationally for business. While on those business trips, she was always finding was to extend the trips to see as many places and meet as many people as possible. To date, she has been to 26 countries and has a goal to hit 40 countries by age 40!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE DESTINATION TO PLAN?

Anywhere that is not over traveled. I love being able to tell people about unique places and destinations. I love the look on people's faces when you tell them you've been to a place less traveled.

WHERE IS A GREAT TRAVEL LOCATION THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE GO?

Mozambique! We just went on our honeymoon and it is truly untouched. You are immediately immersed in the Mozambican culture and have pristine, gorgeous beaches right outside your front door. The seafood is fresh and abundant and the flavors are bold!

WHAT I YOUR MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE?

Safari in South Africa. It was incredible. Everyday you wake up to a scene from the Lion King. It was a trip that opened my eyes to how big the world truly is. The lodge we stayed at was so chic and we are still in touch with the other couples we met on the trip.

WHICH DESTINATIONS ARE YOU PERSONALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO VISITING AND WHY?

I have yet to explore anything in Asia! Specifically a trip to Japan and South Korea followed by some time on the beaches in Cambodia, Vietnam or the Philippenes.
